This converted school building and residence of internationally renowned Interior Designer, Kelly Hoppen (the queen of Zen inspired, modern interiors) features a drop dead gorgeous Bubble Chair suspended from the rafters. More art piece than chair. The inside of the chair is padded with soft cushions while the outside is covered with a structure of 8000 cable-ties.

The Nest Rest by Dedon is more bird nest than hanging chair but I couldn’t resist including it in my favorites list.  It’s big enough to share with your friends – who wouldn’t want one of these at a Summer party?
