Dating back to the 19th century, The Stables Bar was originally home to one of Perth’s first horse stables. In 1894, local businessman Jonathon Butterworth purchased the site and began construction of his landmark residence and stables. A farm and hardware store were added in 1898. In 2012, the historic building was transformed into The Stables Bar, seamlessly blending its rich past with a fresh modern attitude. Situated at the end of a small Hay Street laneway, The Stables Bar features two levels of bar and dining experiences, including a sophisticated outdoor bar with a panoramic view of the city skyline.
