We love this styled shoot put together by a team of Nelspruit creatives and photographed by Mila Janse van Rensburg. They captured the earthy feeling by incorporating copper tones with natural shades of green and nude. We love the combination of earthy (raw wood and striking floral centrepieces)  and modern elements (look out for the beautiful stationery, ghost chairs and cakes) that combine to give a more contemporary take on the earthy theme. I drew inspiration from my mom, an artist who has been using copper to create stunning pieces since I was a young girl. We incorporated copper through the use of copper vases and also created DIY napkin rings with copper strips. We wanted to use elements in their natural form so we used a raw wooden table and to give it a contrast we added the clear ghost chairs.

The menus and invitations had copper tones and were printed on a linen paper. Using South Africa’s unique landscape and foliage to influence our style, Marelize at Classic Flowers decided to use aloes as centrepieces for the tables – I have always loved their quirky look. The location, Kavinga has the best view in Nelspruit and is a real hidden gem.
