EpicMix™ Time is an expansion of the award-winning ski and snowboard app, EpicMix, and it will debut at Park City Mountain in December 2016 and allow guests to access real-time lift line wait times. This will enable skiers and snowboarders to better navigate the mountain and make the most of our their ski and ride experience. EpicMix Time utilizes recently developed technology to calculate and display up-to-the-minute chairlift and gondola line wait times across the 7,300 acres of skiable terrain at Park City Mountain. In 2015-2016, we introduced Epic SchoolKids Utah Pack, and now in 2016-2017, it will be offering thousands of free days of skiing and riding to Utah children. The program provides up to five free days at Park City Mountain plus a free first-timer ski or snowboard lesson and free equipment rental to Utah kindergartener to fifth graders. Advance registration for the program was required. EpicPromise is how we are creating a more promising future for generations to come.

In 2015, Vail Resorts EpicPromise donated $1.7 Million to local Park City nonprofit partners focused on youth programs and environmental initiatives and we will be announcing our 2016 recipients very soon. In addition, on September 17, 2016 several hundred employees, family, friends and community members volunteered their time during our annual EpicPromise Day to work on multiple water quality projects in the Park City vicinity.

Miners Camp will be located next to the base of the Silverlode Lift and the Quicksilver Gondola terminal. Meanwhile, upgrades to Summit House will improve the flow of diners and increase seating. On the other side of the mountain, Red Pine Lodge will be renovated to the tune of 250 more indoor seats. To whet your appetite, here’s a conceptual rendering of what the Quicksilver Gondola terminal and the new Miners Camp Restaurant could look like. Improvements depicted and described are proposed and are shown for conceptual purposes only in locations which are approximate. Proposed improvements are subject to modification and the receipt of required approvals. The plan rounds out with additional snowmaking on two trails in the Iron Mountain area, and a widening of the Chicane trail, to handle increased skier traffic for Quicksilver Gondola access. We’ll also be putting another $5 million into other various maintenance projects around Park City. For the 2015-2016 ski season, the company will operate the two resorts as one unified branded experience under the name "Park City”.

The Canyons base area will be renamed "Canyons Village". The company will continue to maintain the unique history and atmosphere of the two base areas with differentiated marketing for the diverse hotel and hospitality experiences.
