Are (pronounced aura) is a popular Swedish ski, snowboard and mountain bike resort approximately 220 miles south of the Artic Circle. Are is ideally located for winter mountain sports activities because of its heavy snowfall during the ski season which lasts from late November, right through to early May. With a total of 1,080 acres across four separate and adjacent alpine ranges, the Are Resort is one of the largest ski areas in Scandinavia.
