The Coco Republic Design School was delighted to host an exclusive evening for students and alumni, with Vogue Living Editor-in-Chief Neale Whitaker in an intimate setting at our Design Centre located in Alexandria, Sydney.

Guests enjoyed a delectable grazing table consisting of cured meats and a delicious cheese selection presented by L’Americano which was paired beautifully with glasses of Pommery champagne, as they listened to an inspiring talk by Neale, finishing off with a Q&A. Coco Republic was delighted to celebrate Chinese New Year with Thirdi Group at their latest development, 88onRegent. Eight of the best apartments previously reserved were exclusively released at the evening and prospective buyers were invited to preview the outlook from apartments by cherry picker. Guests were treated to Pommery Champagne and delicious canapes by L'Americano x Nel Restaurant. Prawn toast with foie gras, hoisin pancake with crispy duck and rooster, truffle and mushroom dumplings were amongst the menu items on offer, created by Nel's Head Chef and Owner, Nelly Robinson.

Diana Ribarevski, Head of Design Services for NSW for Coco Republic and lead designer on the project offered an insight into the inspiration behind the interior finishes and fixtures selected for the luxury kitchen and bathrooms and how she approached the floorplan with the purchaser in mind. Coco Republic Interior Design also gave a short presentation on the exclusive opportunities for 88onRegent purchasers including bespoke complimentary interior design services with tailored furnishing schemes to the individual buyer's taste and lifestyle. There were several winners on the night with prizes drawn for two $888 Coco Republic gift vouchers and accessories from Coco Republic's homewares collection. Coco Republic Interior Design has produced a premium design and well thought out spaces for each of the apartments interiors, including kitchen and bathroom design schemes with quality finishes and a contemporary aesthetic. Having recently launched new development Lume in Kangaroo Point to market, the evening offered a discussion on property investment opportunities in the local area and the latest international design trends from Coco Republic. Leading the panel was Nicolette van Wijngaarden of Unique Estates, alongside Toni Thornton of DevCorp and Anthony Spon Smith of Coco Republic. Guests were treated to Pommery champagne with a delectable grazing table of local cheeses and canapes. The Coco Republic Design School hosted their Annual Awards Night for 2016 in partnership with Vogue Living, recognising excellence in the study of interior decoration and styling. Coco Republic Directors Paul Spon Smith and Jeremy Byrne announced the finalists and winners for the course awards whilst Neale Whitaker, Editor-In-Chief of Vogue Living revealed the coveted Vogue Living x Coco Republic Scholarship winner, Jacek Ciok, 2016 student of Interior Decoration Essentials 101. The canape menu by L’Americano Espresso Bar had a theatrical touch with test tubes of tomato water, basil oil and goats curd, beef tartare sandwiches with truffle cream and passionfruit bombs.

Guests sipped on Pommery Brut Royal as they celebrated their classmates’ achievements. Coco Republic were delighted to host designer Timothy Oulton with an intimate trade event of 100 interior designers, architects and stylists in Melbourne. Launching the new collections by the British designer in the newly refreshed gallery, Timothy Oulton spoke about his love of antiques, his muses and reinventing the old into something new for the modern home. Discussing his unique design process, Timothy explained that each piece is made by hand, using time honoured techniques and simple tools – something which very few designers offer in this day. Guests were treated to Veuve Clicquot, Santa Vittoria water and a delectable grazing table of local cheeses, scones with cream and jam, beef yorkshire puddings and delicious vanilla cupcakes adorned with bowler hat and British flag motifs.
