office desk chair recliner

Great chair very comfortable, works like a reclining office chair should Working the midnight shift just got a whole lot more comfortable span My husband works the night shift, 7 days on and 7 days off, 12 hour shifts. So for 7 straight nights in a row he works from 7pm at night to 7am in the morning. After about 3am in the morning, not much goes on and he just needs to be around in case of a call. So from time to time he'll and prop his feet up on something and try to kick back in his chair and rest. There's even a TV in their office to watch during this down time, but it's hard to get comfortable to rest or watch something in the short arm-less task chairs the office was issued. This chair was the perfect solution. This Viva office chair is not just great for sitting in at the desk to work, but also lets you fully recline back into a sleeping position. If you want to lay completely flat, you can. If you want to lay back into a slightly inclined position, you can do that too.
There is a lever on the side of the chair that lets you to chose the exact position you want the back of the chair in, then lock it there. In addition to the reclining back of the chair, under the front of the chair there is a pull out foot rest. This piece even folds out several extra inches, so it can be used by both shorter and taller people. My husband is 6 foot and he easily sits in this chair. Someone even taller than him could kick back and sleep fully stretched out. The black leather the chair is upholstered with is thick and soft. The stitching is done in white contrast, so it shows off all the nicely done seams. There are locking wheels on the base of the chair, so it can roll or stay in one place. And the arms of the chair are padded with the same thick black leather as the rest of it. The cushions of the chair are firm, so it's very supportive when working while sitting in it for hours at a time. The back of the chair has a built in leather covered pillow-top piece that helps cushion your back when laying down using the reclining function.
The chair's design is very much a functional office chair. It's not like trying to work from an unpractical lounge chair. But at the same time, this Viva officer chair can really turn into a comfortable resting sleep chair. It's sturdy, supportive, comfortable and can realistically be used people of all heights and sizes. My husband LOVES this chair and the guys he works with always switch out their chairs with his when they are working nights so they can use it too. Special tip: When you're putting the chair together, I highly suggest you have a second set of hands to help with attaching the back of the chair to the base. The cushions are thick, so you'll need one person to hold the two pieces together while the other person puts in the screws. But make note not to tighten these screws all the way down right away. At this point you will need to feed in the pillow piece from the back of the chair through the bottom of the chair, and Velcro it down. If you tighten the screws down before feeding the pillow piece through, you'll find it too hard to work with and just end up loosening the screws to get the pillow through.
Having someone to help during the assembly of the chair will make it go so much easier. Sample provided for review ... and I have to say that it was a great decision. Additionally, the foot rest is adjustable, allowing you to alter its height to meet your needs. The seat height is adjustable too. Because of the foot rest, you will need a bit more clearance room for this office chair versus some other models. This model does lack adjustable arms, which may disappoint some people, but it overcomes those shortcomings with its strong reclining features.
Ultimately, this Flash Furniture model is a really good reclining office chair with foot rest option.Back Rest Height: 24 inches | Seat Height: 18.5 to 21 inches WHY IT’S A TOP PICK:  Provides great mix of comfortable cushioning and back support The Viva Office Reclining Office Chair offers plenty of cushioning, but it still has enough support in the key areas of the chair, making it comfortable to use for long stretches of time. And when you’re ready to relax, the retractable footrest is of a good size for reclining without feeling as if you’re going to tip over backward. The rolling casters are spread out nicely along the base, providing good balance. The back rest is tall with a big head rest, which is perfect for reclining. It also has a control lever for determining the angle at which you can recline. And the lumbar support in the lower portion of the back rest works well, whether you’re sitting upright in this chair or you’re leaning back. The seat height is adjustable by about 2.5 inches, which is about average for an office chair.
Unfortunately, you cannot adjust the arms on the chair, but they are well padded for comfort. Foot Rest: If you’re looking for an office chair that reclines for naps, having a retractable foot rest or an ottoman can be a nice feature. And even if you don’t want to nap in your office chair, the foot rest can help provide support for your lower back as you recline while talking on the phone or using a wireless keyboard. Tilt Control: As you recline in your office chair, it’s helpful to be able to limit the angle of the tilt, just so you don’t feel like you’re tipping over in the chair. Or you may want to recline freely to nearly a horizontal position. A good reclining office chair can give you the freedom of tilting in exactly the manner you want, usually controlling things with a knob or lever on the side of the chair. Quick Tilt, Quick Return: One of the best reasons to use a reclining office chair is to allow you to take a quick break from sitting upright at your desk.
You’ll improve circulation and prevent general aches and pains by moving several times during the day. Such quick breaks are important versus sitting upright in the chair for hours at a time. So you’ll want a reclining office chair that allows you to tilt back and return to an upright position relatively quickly, rather than having to adjust knobs and levers each time you want to change your reclining tilt, which can waste time. Not Having Enough Room: A leather reclining office chair with foot rest is going to require plenty of free space in your office, allowing the chair to recline to the desired tilt without striking walls or objects in the room. Ignoring Other Features: Even when seeking an office chair with a reclining back, you don’t want to ignore other important aspects of an office chair, such as good lumbar support, some firmness in the seat cushion, and an ability to fully adjust the chair’s features to meet your needs, helping you avoid a sore back.
