office chair mesh back and seat

While its iconic form has remained largely unchanged, the Aeron Chair has been remastered from the casters up to meet the needs of today’s work. With the help of original co-designer, Don Chadwick, we thoughtfully updated the chair based on the latest research around the science of sitting, and advancements in materials, manufacturing, and technology. Retooled to Perform Today Since Aeron debuted in 1994, we at Herman Miller have learned a great deal more about how best to support people in the varied postures they adopt throughout the workday. With the new chair, we incorporated two decades worth of technological and ergonomic enhancements to improve the health-positive design, and widen the range of cross-performance capabilities. With updates that include a more refined tilt mechanism, adjustable PostureFit SL, and 8Z Pellicle suspension, the new Aeron performs smarter than ever before—so you can too. Get into the Zones Pellicle, the innovative, elastomeric suspension of the original Aeron, eliminated circulation-restricting pressure points and stretched the boundaries of material design.

New 8Z Pellicle pushes the material to a whole new zone—eight of them. Across the seat and back, eight latitudinal zones of varying tension—tightest at the edges and more forgiving where the body makes contact—envelope the sitter to deliver increased comfort and ergonomic support. By doing away with foam and fabric, Aeron solved one of prolonged sitting’s biggest predicaments: the buildup of heat and humidity close to the body. Pellicle allows air, body heat, and water vapor to pass through the seat and backrest to help maintain even and comfortable skin temperatures. While many chairs have adopted mesh as a way to deliver some performance, there’s only one Pellicle. A Stance Worth Backing If an active body is at its strongest when standing, chest open and pelvis tilted slightly forward, it makes sense that you would be better off sitting like that too. And that’s exactly where PostureFit SL comes in. Adjustable, individual pads stabilize the sacrum and support the lumbar region of the spine to mimic that healthful standing position.

All of the enhancements to the new Aeron were designed to work together to comprehensively support the human form. PostureFit SL and 8Z Pellicle represent a higher level of ergonomic expertise and state of the art support to improve the experience for the sitter. Together they create total spinal support—calculated, localized support that moves the skeletal system into a position that provides ultimate spinal support.

The Aeron Chair’s tilt allows it to move with the body in such a natural way that people can shift from forward to reclining postures intuitively. Today’s slimmer, updated tilt mechanism delivers an even more seamless experience of movement (and stasis) to the sitter through a smoother trajectory and optimal balance point.

Whether a person is positioned forward for typing and intense focus, or fully-reclined for conversation and contemplation, they will find the new Aeron moving with them—without any trouble—to offer proper ergonomic support across a larger variety of tasks. With Aeron, Stumpf and Chadwick proved that a chair didn’t just have to sit there, and you didn’t just have to sit in it—it could actually be better for you.
office chairs for sale in mumbai For individuals sitting in Aeron, cross-performance design means the chair accommodates a wide range of activities and postures people adopt while working—from intense forward-facing focus to relaxed contemplative recline. For designers and organizations, cross-performance makes Aeron suitable for a wide array of workplace settings—from residential workpoints to shared workshops. With chairs, one size does not fit all people. Based on an ends-to-the-middle design approach, Aeron comes in three sizes to provide a fit that is inclusive rather than exclusive—and delivers the same comfort to the largest range of anthropometric body types of any chair.

The Aeron Chair was designed with sensitivity to its impact on the interior environment in which it will be placed and the broader environment that provides the resources for its manufacture. A Whole New Aeron Through hundreds of samples, tests, and iterations, we arrived at three tightly curated, holistic material expressions. Graphite is the darkest, a modern take on the original Aeron. Carbon offers a balanced neutral that works equally well in warm and cool environments. Mineral is the lightest, ideal for today’s more open office environments. Created through a unique painting process, Aeron’s satin aluminum finish offers a luster redolent of high-end electronic equipment. Colors were developed to harmonize with the chair’s other components. Each detail contributes to a seamless whole.Avg. The most critical review Poor construction and comfort See more critical reviews Build Quality is good BUT Your review: This chair is pretty nice but he seat is too narrow. I am a larger man, but it was even too small for a smaller guy in our office. Pros: Good build quality- Has the potential to be comfortable. Arm rests are nice Cons: Seat is very narrow Is this review helpful? Your review: n excellent product Your review: I purchased this chair as a gift for my husband. He loves the lower back support and the comfortable seat. Pros: Lumbar & posterior support Your review: Great ergonomic chair for the money. My back has never felt better after a day of work. Mesh high back chair Your review: This is a great chair. I have had them now for close to three years. I purchased maybe 50 in total and they are used throughout our office. Pros: comfortable, adjustable and good quality. Your review: A really nice chair for the price.

Good back support and lots of adjustable options. Pros: Mesh back keeps you cool when sitting for a long period of time and still provides good back support. Cons: It would be nice if you could adjust the height of the back of the chair. But for the price it's still a nice chair. hard to find chair worth the search Your review: I wanted a tall back chair with an open mesh seat as well as back. Finding this chair took a lot of looking as many are advertised with mesh seats only to discover that the mesh is covering a pad or memory foam. I want the entire chair to breathe. Pros: multiple settings for tilt, height and back. Cons: Seat is a little hard around the edges. Your review: Good value Your review: It is a great chair for the money. We have bought 3 of them now the supervisors and like them Pros: Everybody loves these chairs. The back support is extremely good. Cons: Again instructions sort of sketchy. Your review: 1. It does not recline.

I clearly asked the sale representative if this was a feature because I bought from a catalogue. I was told it did recline, but it does not. I could return it but at the cost of freight it is prohibitive. 2. Arms are not adjustable other then just up and down and in and out. I had asked and they confirmed they would swivel in and out but they do not. 3. It is advertised as having lumbar support but I don't see it. Other chairs I have that include lumbar support you can feel it in your lower back and it is adjustable. This one, well I don't get it. Don't get me wrong, nice chair and I am keeping it. But buying from a catalogue on something like a chair was probably not the best decision I ever made. So for the most part the above are consumer errors. Your review: The majority of our office employees here at AmTrust has enjoyed the comfort and durability of this adjustable meshWe now have them in almost all of the offices. Comfortable but terrible instructions

Your review: Chairs are very comfortable. However, they come in a thousand pieces and the instructions are terrible. Once you can figure out how to put the darn thing together, they are quite nice. Your review: A seat cushion must come with this chair. Pros: Easy to assemble. Not comfortable at all. 1 person found this review helpful Your review: Chair was a surprise. The quality is great. CSR representive Stuart is a great asset to the transaction. Your review: I can sit in it all day without any lower back pain! Stay away from mesh seat. Your review: Mesh seat has hard plastic under mesh. So it is like setting on hard plastic chair. Had to buy a seat cushion. Do not get the mesh seat. Your review: At work I have a Herman Miller chair that I really like. So, when I needed a chair for my home office I thought I would try a similar mesh chair that didn't cost $800.Unfortunately, I purchased this chair with mesh seat. The mesh seat has a hard plastic base under the mesh that makes seat very uncomfortable.

Otherwise, the chair is ok. Pros: Our scheduler loves his new chair. Much better than what he had. Just The Ticket For Staying Cool In Comfort Your review: This chair fits my sweaty, 6'3" 270 lb frame w/ no problem, and it helps me stay cool unlike any other chair has before. The entire seat and back are constructed of a mesh that enables your body to breathe (for an air conditioning effect, try aiming a fan under--or behind--the chair while seated). Before it arrived, I was concerned it wasn't going to be as comfy as it's cushioned counterparts, but after sitting in it, I never looked back. It's well made, took 5 minutes to assemble, & has adjustments for height, tilt, & backrest angle, as well as ones for the vertical & horizontal positioning of the armrests. Your review: I was very pleased with the service and the product. Your review: I have purchased a number of chairs and not one complaint from any of the faculty or staff. The chair has been given high praises, and I am beginning to get request to purchase more.
