In order to rent any equipment, just look for beach attendant under the umbrella that says “Rentals” or by the big box that says “Beach Rentals” on the beach. After Labor Day weekend until the end of Sept, they’re only open at their hotel locations: Hotel Locations for Equipment Rentals They are also located on every block on the beach (look for the blue umbrella or lifeguard stand) How much does it cost to rent the big umbrellas and chairs on the beach? Prices differ depending on who you rent from... From an umbrella and two lounge chairs is around $15 for the day. Some might want $20... I am interested in this as well. If anyone had names or numbers of companies that these can be rented from, please post! I'm staying about an hour from the beach and just want to drive over for a day. I don't have any contact info, but just go to the resort area (in front of the boardwalk) and you can find the chair/ umbrella rentals. In all honestly, I doubt you can call the rental companies...

They are usually just cash only, little hut setups- no "office". You can bring your own, rent or if you're staying a while or need a greater number it's less expensive to buy and then pass on to the next happy arrival. Sunsations has lots of stores on Atlantic Ave and coupons to boot...one for $5 off and one for a free beach bag among others: I thought Sunrise Beach Services still did the leasing of chairs, umbrellas, etc. They were created by Professional Hospitality Resources, which developed, own and operate several oceanfront hotels. However, I recently read on the reviews for the Hilton and for Springhill Suites that the prices were different...perhaps the company still handles it and other entities tag on something or perhaps the interest is no longer a monopoly. In the spring someone said the Sunsations chairs and umbrellas were $5 each. A couple of summers ago a two chair one umbrella rental package was $40/day. I don't know if they'll give prices over the phone but Sunrise Beach Service's number is 407-414-1700.
