The National Organization for Vehicle Accessibility (NOVA) – Provides funding for individuals with disabilities in need of financial assistance. Awards up to $5,000 on mobility transportation equipment. IN ONTARIO Ontario March of Dimes – Manage the Ministry of Community and Social Services’ Home and Vehicle Modification Program (HVMP) for permanent Ontario residents, which funds vehicle modifications through grants of up to $15,000 per decade.  IN BRITISH COLUMBIA Neil Squire Society Technology@Work Program – Designed to support people with disabilities who have workplace barriers in British Columbia, and who require Assistive Technology for employment or volunteer activities.  CKNW Orphan’s Fund – Provides specialized equipment funding for children with physical, mental, social and behavioural challenges living in BC communities. 

Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus Association of BC – Provide financial assistance to active association members with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus to assist with the costs of specialized equipment that will enhance or improve mobility, to a maximum of $1,000 per calendar year. IN ALBERTA Human Services Disability Related Employment Supports (DRES) – Provides assistance to Albertans aged 16 and older in overcoming the barriers to employment created by their disability. Includes support such as assistive technology.  Children’s Ability Fund – Provides funding for specialized equipment to enhance the independence of children with disabilities throughout northern Alberta.  Dawn Land Foundation – A charity dedicated to improving the quality of life of children in and around Alberta by providing aid to chronically and terminally ill children.  OTHER GREAT ORGANIZATIONS TO CONTACT Kin Canada – Some Kin Canada clubs may provide funding for individuals who are buying wheelchair accessible vans.

Please call your local club to determine if they can help.  Lions Clubs – Each chapter is different, but a local Lions Club may offer financial assistance to people purchasing a wheelchair accessible van.  Rotary Clubs – Assistance varies from chapter to chapter, but your local Rotary Club may offer financial assistance for the purchase of an accessible vehicle.  Manufacturers Programs Be sure to speak with one of our experienced automotive consultants prior to making a purchase, as they will help you fill out the necessary forms and ensure all prerequisites are in order before you submit them.
