Love the sleek design & the ability to convert and have it being used till the kids are fully grown. Love the option of having bub at the table with us. A chair we will use for a very long time. Many different colour options and settings. Peg Perego Prima Pappa The Prima Pappa Zero3 high chair is suitable from birth up to three years of age. You can use it as a recliner chair from birth, then turn it into a high chair when your baby starts eating solid food. Join Date Oct 2010 Whats the best high chair to get???? Can anybody advise which is the best high chair to get in your opinion, I am actually really struggling to decide which one to get ????

Join Date Dec 2008 it all depends on what feactures you want ie lay back seat removable tray heighht ajustable seat Join Date Jul 2009 if baby is old enough to sit i would advise you gt the basic one that ae avalible, as ound no point in paying out more then you have to a others take up more space then they need to The best high chair I have found (i've had 5 children!) Is a basic no frills IKEA plastic one! It's easy to clean and can be used from around sitting up, with a support cushion up until toddler years. It is also a good hight for lo to join you at the table.. I am of the opinion that a high chair is for meal times and occaisional play, not for sleeping and staying in all day XX It is really down to personal choice though, and what features, if any, you would like it to have Join Date Sep 2007 Another recommendation from me for the IKEA Antilop highchair (with or without tray). Most soft-play places tend to have them, I guess because they are cheap and very easy to clean.

The only downsides I've found are that the baby needs to be about 9 or 10 months and sitting unaided as there is no padded support, and the harness (only a lap belt) is not strong enough to stop a determined toddler from standing up in the chair (I've used a set of reins to adapt mine for my stubborn DD!). When I bought my first highchair I went for the Chicco Polly - it was great for weaning as it was very supportive, and I was 'sold' on all the marketing of it folding flat for storage, reclining, being able to adjust the height, using it as a toddler chair etc etc. But in reality it was an absolute nightmare to clean, it was still bulky when folded (and really - if you are using it for 3 meals a day who is going to have time to fold the chair and put it away each time? Not me!), and it didn't work with the height of our dining table as a toddler chair (nowhere for DS's legs to go if I tried to push the chair close enough to the table for him to eat at the table rather than use the highchair tray).

Needless to say I think I used the Polly for a couple of months when DD was first on solids, and since then have had her eating at the dining table with us using the IKEA highchair (I didn't buy the optional tray for mine). Join Date Oct 2009 I think the Ikea one is really great too, as does my sister who has used it for all 4 of her kids. My son has used his since 7 months without a support, so I think it maybe depends on the baby. I have friends who really rue getting more expensive ones as they are hard to clean or bulky or eaily breakable etc Join Date Jun 2009 I made the mistake of buying a fancy do-everything highchair and ended up with Ikea one. What a fab highchair at an amazing price. I took my other one back and got my money back. Love how the legs easily come off and its easily transportable. Join Date Sep 2009 I hate choosing things like this I bought the cheapy asda one- LO was too small and slipped about in it sooo I bought the cheapy mothercare one-LO was too big and only just fit in it for a month!

Bought the fisher price booster chair and he liked that- that lasted us for a year At 19 months bought ikea wooden table and chairs £16 an dhe now eats at that phew Join Date Aug 2008 The Ikea one all the way! It's so easy to clean and really portable. Join Date Jul 2010 Wooden high chairs are my fav - but that's because I like the look of them and It matches my dining table. Join Date Feb 2011 I agree that the most basic Ikea highchair is the best. Its so easy to clean and my little one was in it from about 5 months with a small cushion wedged behind her back. Join Date Sep 2010 I bought the Graco highchair that asda sell foor 25 quid during their baby events. Its brill and I highly recommend it. My LO had it from 6 months and it was really supportive and he still uses it now at 18months. Great harness and the seat and harness can be removed and put in the washing machine which is very useful. the table detaches which is great to get LO in and out.

I totally understand what you are going through, having gone just buying my first highchair! it was so confusing what to get and you got information overloaded! I guess what you have to decide is what price you are willing to pay and what features you want. For me, I wanted a compact, good looking, stable chair that the child could grow up in without paying over the odds. I initially wanted to get chicco happy snack as that had great reviews and I liked the sound of the basket but in reality I wouldn't need it so I finally went for a cosatto hi-lo as that could move up and down and is compact. It was similiar to the cosatto noodle but not as pricy. Looks great and Ive had no probs with it so far. The only minor point is that you can't open it one handed if you are carrying the baby but i'm ok with that. Join Date Sep 2008 I have had all sorts of high chairs in my time!!! For my first two I used a wooden one that turns into chair and table and it was great. For my 2 y.o. I bought a Graco for about £35 and it stays up all the time and he loves it.

My9 month old has an Ikea basic and loves it too! Cheap and easy to clean and perfect for sitting at the table. I say go for the Ikea one, best value and not too big. Join Date Feb 2015 It depends on how old is your child and how long are you planning to use it. If you have limited space in your kitchen or dining room best choice is to look for a foldable high chair. Also you need to decide on what features like recline, adjustable height, removable tray you want in the high chair. Graco 4 in 1 in the most versatile and will grow with your child. You can take look at our high chairs review to get an idea what's available out there. It looks like this is an old thread but may be this will help other members to find a high chair that's best for them. Join Date Nov 2014 Hi, I'm so glad you updated this thread! I've been looking at highchairs and am so confused by the variety in the prices, how can there be so much difference?? I went to look in ikea, and they looked compact but so uncomfortable!

Do people still rare them? I was also given what looks like a Stokke Tripp Trapp by a friend but looking at their website seems I'll need to buy a harness (for £30) to use it, and even then I'm not sure that'll work. Join Date Sep 2011 The stokke trip trap is fantastic as it grows with your child and seems much more stable and easier to clean than other high chairs. Having said that we only got ours when our daughter was a bit older so never used the harness. Join Date Apr 2011 Fresco bloom no creases for blobs baby food and crumbs can be used wit insert from newborn down side need room it doesn't collapse but if you have a dinning kitchen they look really groovy x Yes they are ridiculously expensive but they can be used from birth to 3/4 years like kids bar stool, there really good quality and sell for about £80+ on eBay so you could look there or buy new and have peace of mind you've made a good investment and will be able to sell once your done x Join Date Aug 2015
