The cinemas will offer children the opportunity to play on jungle gyms and bean bags. A movie theater chain will debut a new playground feature in Southern California which will allow children to play near their parents' seats. Cinepolis, a Mexico-based theater chain, will feature the Cinepolis Junior cinemas in Pico Rivera and Vista. The theaters allow children to play on a jungle gym and bean bag chairs while seeing a movie. The option will cost $3 more per ticket. The theaters are designed for ages 3 to 12, and hope to compete with Netflix and other at-home options. The option is being offered just in time for Disney's live-action remake of "Beauty and the Beast." Deaths of man and woman found near each other in Long Beach 'coincidental,' police say Joseph Serna Contact Reporter The deaths of two people whose bodies were found early Monday in Long Beach — a man on the beach with a gunshot wound and a woman in a car not far away — were unrelated and their proximity to each other appears to be purely “coincidental,” police said. The man’s body was found first by a passerby about 6 a.m. The body was lying naked with a gunshot wound to the chest near Bay Shore Drive and 54th Place, said Long Beach police spokeswoman Nancy Pratt. Though a gun wasn’t found in the area, police believe that the death was a suicide, Pratt said. While investigating the man’s death, authorities discovered the body of a woman inside an SUV on East Ocean Boulevard, about a five-minute walk from where the man’s body was found, Pratt said. The woman looked to be in an “extreme state of poor health” and appeared to have been living out of her car, Pratt said.
Authorities believe she may have died of natural causes, but can’t say when. The man was 42 years old and the woman was 49, Pratt said.
