bean bag chair lips

West Vincent's Kindness Campaign Lip Dub West Vincent Elementary has challenged everyone to Choose To Be Kind. Every student, teacher, and staff member participated in a lip dub of Kaitlyn K's Who Do U Think U R?  Our sixth graders worked with Mrs. Riggs to choreograph and organize the skit and lip dubbing.  We had so much fun! The mission of the library media program is to ensure that students and staff are effective users of ideas and information. This mission is accomplished in the following ways: 1) by providing intellectual and physical access to materials, 2) by providing instruction to foster competence and stimulate interest in reading, viewing, and using information and ideas, and 3) by working with other educators to design learning strategies to meet the needs of individual students. In grades 4-6, students will be learning how to be good (manners on the web), cyber safety (including phones, Internet, games, and social media), evaluating sources, and preventing and handling cyberbullying.
Library students are assessed in three categories: Technology & Publication (using library and technology tools to create), Conducting Research (using library resources), and Digital Citizenship (participating ethically and responsibly). The library serves almost 600 students in library classes every week, plus many more students during independent visits.  We are always in need of supplies.  If you are interested in donating to our library, please check the list below and drop items in the main office, clearly labeled for the library.  Thank you SO MUCH!  Your generosity is truly appreciated!
