The chair was delivered quickly, as promised. It was packaged securely and arrived without any defects, broken or missing parts. Assembly was very easy and the instructions are so simple they can be followed by a young child. I waited to write this review because I wanted to make sure that there were no weaknesses at the points of connection. The connections at the joints are strong and secure even without the use of wood glue. The seat cushion is easily installed and it does not slide when sitting or getting up from the chair. I have rheumatoid arthritis and degenerative joint disease of the spine.

So the most important aspect of the chair for me was how well it would support my back and joints without creating any pressure areas. I cannot overstate how comfortable and supportive this chair is. When used with a footstool, it is possible to fall asleep and not feel uncomfortable when you wake up because the back is high enough to support your head and neck while supporting the alignment of your spine. I gave the chair a rating of 4 stars only because I'm 5'7 and the seat height is only 17 3/4". I prefer a seat height of 19" (the standard height of doctor's office chairs) because when stiffness and joint pain are present it takes less effort to rise from a sitting to a standing position. Overall this chair is very well made, exceedingly comfortable and supportive of the back and neck.
